The Wildwood Crest Department of Public Works handles the maintenance and beautification of the various borough streets, buildings, parks, beach, bike path, beach pier and more, as well as refuse removal for borough residents and businesses.

The Department is responsible for fleet maintenance; buildings and facilities maintenance; maintenance of roads, including salting and snow plowing, patching of potholes, weed control, storm debris removal and litter control; The Department of Public Works also rakes, cleans and maintains nearly two miles of beach; builds and maintains beach walkways at all borough street ends and is responsible for all landscaping chores for borough buildings and parks.

The Department of Public Works also works in concert with other borough departments on the organization and setup of special events throughout the year.

Beach Sweep Information

-- Fall: Saturday, October 18, 9 am-12 noon
     (Staged out of gazebo at Rambler Road and Ocean Avenue; free shredding event for Wildwood Crest residents each day)

Trash & Recycling Drop-Off Information
(located on Bayview Drive between Newark Ave. and Jefferson Ave.)

• October through April: Mon.-Fri. 7 am-2 pm; Sat.-Sun. 2-4 pm
• May through September: Mon-Thu. 7 am-2 pm; Fri.-Sun. 7 am-7 pm
  (NOTE: All residents must display official DPW Recycling Center tag when dropping off trash/recyclables; call 609-522-7446 for info)

  THIS FACILITY IS FOR HOUSEHOLD TRASH AND RECYCLING ONLY! 
  ALL BULK ITEMS MUST BE CALLED IN AHEAD OF TIME ON YOUR REGULAR TRASH DAY.
