The following items should NOT be set out with your paper or bottled/canned recyclable items:
GRASS
Place grass in CLEAR PLASTIC BAGS for proper disposal. (Grass may be loose if it is dropped off at the public works facility).
RIGID
PLASTICS
Plastic toys, crates, lawn furniture, coolers, shelving, totes, flower pots (no soil, please).
COMPUTER AND ELECTRONICS
Computers, Monitors, laptops, televisions, VCRs, telephones, radios, keyboards, printers, fax machines, desktop copiers, MP3 Players, video games and systems, cabling and other consumer electronic devices
Proper disposal of the above items can be done as
follows:
DROP OFF: Public Works Facility – Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 1
p.m.
PICK UP: For curbside pickup, contact the Public Works Department
in advance at 522-7446
REMINDER:
Borough issued red recycling cans are for bottles and cans … no paper please! Paper may be set out in paper bags, a cardboard box or a reusable container marked with a “Paper” sticker.
