Minutes of Special Commissioners Meeting   -   May 13, 2009

Prior to the opening of the Special Meeting, Mr. Groon led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

The Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Borough of Wildwood Crest, Cape May County , New Jersey , was held in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room at 9:30 a.m.  On roll call the following answered to their names:

Gould - Cabrera – Groon – Yes

Mr. Groon read the following statement:  In compliance with the Open Public Meeting Act, Chapter 231, P.L. 1975, the notice requirements have been satisfied as to the time, place and date of holding said meeting by posting notice on the bulletin board in the Borough Hall and by mailing and fax transmitting same to the Herald of Cape May County and The Press on May 8, 2009.

Mr. Groon next announced the one-way in and the one-way out method of ingress and egress in case of emergency.

The Clerk advised all present that the only authorized discussion/final action permitted at this special meeting was:  1.  HEARING ON THE AMENDMENT OF THE 2009 MUNICIPAL BUDGET, WITH POTENTIAL ADOPTION OF SAID MUNICIPAL BUDGET THEREAFTER

THE CLERK READ RESOLUTION NO. 967-09 IN FULL, WHICH RESOLUTION WAS ALSO READ IN FULL ON MAY 6, 2009 AND THEREAFTER DULY ADVERTISED ON MAY 8, 2009 IN THE PRESS OF ATLANTIC CITY , AS FOLLOWS:

(Authorizing Amendment of CY2009 Municipal Budget)

Mrs. Gould motioned, seconded by Mr. Cabrera, to authorize a public hearing on the amendment to the approved 2009 Municipal Budget.

Vote:          Gould-Cabrera-Groon-Yes

There being no public comments as no members of the public were present for the meeting, Mrs. Gould motioned, seconded by Mr. Cabrera, that the public hearing on the amendment to the approved 2009 Municipal Budget be closed.

Vote:          Gould-Cabrera-Groon-Yes

THE CLERK READ THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION IN FULL:

RESOLUTION NO. 977-09

(Authorizing Adoption of CY2009 Municipal Budget)

Mrs. Gould motioned, seconded by Mr. Cabrera, that the 2009 Municipal Budget of the Borough of Wildwood Crest, as amended, be adopted.

Vote:          Gould-Cabrera-Groon-Yes

There being no further matters authorized for discussion at this special meeting, Mrs. Gould motioned, seconded by Mr. Cabrera, that the meeting be adjourned.
